Murals with Dorene

The total time will depend on the level of complexity of the design, but most indoor murals can be completed within three or four painting sessions of a few hours each.

Before the Painting:

• We discuss your vision, preferred wall, and style.
• You share photos of the space and describe elements you want included.
• We send a sketch of the forms of the final piece for review.

Painting Setup:

• We ask that you clear the wall of furniture or other obstructions.
• We bring the paint and drop cloth to protect your space.
• We do a light sketch so you can see the vision begin to take shape, then get right to painting.

Scheduling: 

• Evenings and weekends are ideal for painting, but we will work around your schedule.
• Ideal painting sessions are 3-4 hours at a time, and most murals take about 3-4 sessions, depending on complexity.

Final Product: 

• Your painting is done with wall paint so it will last for decades to come. 
• It can be washed gently with warm water without damage to the art.

Each mural is unique.  The wall it is painted on, the size requested, the level of detail - it all impacts the price.  To give you a ballpark, simple murals with bold, solid colors and limited detail start at about $20 per square foot, compared to highly detailed murals with intricate designs ranging from $60-$100 per square foot.  Prices are agreed to prior to the start of the work, with half paid up front and half paid upon completion.
